The student Sr. Bernadette Tulombe, arrived in Italy from Cananga (Congo) with her congregation, "Sisters of St. Vincent de' Paul' to complete her religious training needed for her pastoral work, she attended two years of studies in philosophy at the Pontifical Lateran University and with the help of the Nando Peretti Foundation was able to enjoy food and lodging at the Conservatorio della SS. Concezione, in Via San Vito, Rome, from September 2008 to August 2009.
The grant covered all costs for lodging and tuition, the purchase of academic texts and teaching materials, personal expenses, health insurance and medicine. The student has regularly attended the lectures on time every day. Even within the College she committed to compliance with the rules for the achievement of the goal, i.e. the human and Christian formation of the woman, in preparation for the role she will play in society and the Church.
The college, during university studies, offers a serene environment for the continuation of the journey and religious training began in the family of origin, and facilitates opportunities for friendship through the daily exchange with other students from different cultures, from different parts of the world.
The student recipient of the scholarship has taken part in the liturgical group, which has the responsibility to promote the common prayer and to enrich the liturgical traditions of the various churches of origin. The student also took part in various cultural activities and has taken the university exams in June and September, with good results.
