- 25 - 31 january: national Winter games in Pinzolo (Tn). More than 300 athletes competed in alpine skiing, cross-contry skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. The press conference took place in Trento, in the conference hall of the Province of Trento, on 22 of January.
- 20 - 21 february: second step of the meeting "training the trainers" that took place in Rome. The participants were about 150 from all over Italy.
- 28 april: press conference of European Football Week, hosted by FIGC - Italian Football Federation - in Rome. Guests: Giancarlo Abete, President of Italian Football Federation, Maurizio Beretta, President of Lega Calcio, Antonello Valentini, General Secretary of FIGC, Renzo Ulivieri, President of AIC italian football player association and former coach, Alessandro Palazzotti, Vice President of Special Olympics Italy and Special Olympics Athletes and partners.
- 30april - 7 may: European Football Week. A big event of fooball organized every year in Italy and in other 50 countries across Europe and Eurasia. In Europe this event has the patronage of Uefa, while in Italy has the patronage of Italian Football Federation (F.I.G.C.), Lega Calcio, Italian Football Player Association (A.I.C.). More than 3000 athletes were involved in different cities:
- 29 april, Rome, sports activities preparatory for unified football in cooperation with University "Roma Tre".
- 29 april, Rieti, 5 a-side unified football tournament November at "Ex Scia" Stadium.
- 4 may: Rome, sports activities preparatory for unified football at Juvenia 2000 sport center.
- 7 may, Latina, 28 november, 5 a-side unified football tournament in cooperation with the local football clubs Olim Palus and Pecorilli.
- 9 may, Rome, regional football games at the "Atletico" sport center.
- 30 april, Montebelluna, 5 a-side unified football tournament at "Palazzetto Legrenzi".
- 30 april, Ancona, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football in cooperation with AC Ancona.
- 30 april - 1 may, Lanzo Torinese, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football.
- 30 april, Savona, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football in cooperation with Savona Calcio.
- 5 - 7 may, La Spezia, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football at "Montagna" sport center, in cooperation with La Spezia Calcio.
- 10 may, Genova, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football at "Pala Don Bosco" sport center.
- 3 may, carloforte, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football in cooperation with Cagliari Calcio.
- 3 may, Gela, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football in cooperation with Gela Calcio.
- 4 may, Massa carrara, unified football tournament and sports activities preparatory for unified football at "Avenza" sport center.
- 6 may, Pistoia, unified football tournament at "legno Rosso" sport center.
11 - 16 may: National Football Games in Vigevano. More than 350 athletes participated at the games hosted by "Il Cavallino" sport center.
Other collateral activities:
10 - 11 april: all Serie A Football Clubs entered the ground with Special Olympics banners before starting the matches.
28 april - 15 june: e-bay auctions with tshirts and balls signed by football players donated by all Serie A and Serie B clubs.
