FINAL REPORT

"Caro Luchino" was presented on April 23rd 2012 at The Pershing Square Signature Theater in New York City. Actors Tilda Swinton and Richard Gere after two sessions of rehearsals took the American audience on a journey inside the life and work of Luchino Visconti.

The reading was accompanied by video materials with interviews, tales, memories, letters, discovering the world of the great director, depicted with film clips, rehearsal with the actors, the work on the stage and the testimony of friends and artist who had the privilege to work with him.

A packed house with 300 guests welcomed with a warm and long applause the end of the reading making the event a hit of the New York theater season.

Tech and dress rehearsal have been carried out by the production team and the technicians at Signature Theater the days before the event and on the very same day of the performance with a first reading with stands-in and a second one with the two actors. Tilda Swinton and Richard Gere performed for free.
