The construction of Lievens Academy Girls' Hostel was entrusted to JAIN CONSTRUCTIONS, RANCHI who also built the School building, after inviting tenders for the project and after scrutinizing their tender and studying their expertise in this field. The Girls Hostel building work was completed by the end of March 2009. The new Academic Session started on April 1, 2009. For this Academic Session 20 students from Classes V-VIII were admitted to the Hostel.
The Hostel is named Alphonsa Bhavan ( Abode) named after the First Indian Woman Saint who was canonised on October 12, 2008.
The Details of the Work Done:
1. Construction of Study Rooms (2 numbers) : 2390 Sq.Ft.
2. 2. Toilets & Bath Rooms : 1168 Sq.Ft.
3. Total Area : 3558 Sq.Ft.
Lievens Academy, celebrated its 10th foundation Day on December 19, 2010 with great solemnity. His eminence Telephore P. Cardinal Toppo was the Chief Guest. Parents, , Civil & Administrative officials and friends participated in the function. A souvenir was released to mark the occasion and in it all our benefactors were thanked specially the Nando Peretti Foundation which helped for both the School Project and the Hostel Project. The second batch of girl students filled in their forms for the admission to the hostel in June 2011. Hostel students have made marked improvement in their studies, as they have been given extra coaching for their studies in the hostel. All of them have done very well in the final Examination conducted in March, 2010.
