Honored to have been given the opportunity by Elsa Peretti to work closely and collaborate with her throughout an enriching 28-year journey from 1993 until her passing in 2021.

Peter was not only a long-time companion and her advisor on so many matters, both personal and financial, but he also had the immense privilege of being personally mentored by Elsa, who, among many other things, passionately shared the details of her precious jewelry designs and production techniques with him over many years.

Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Peter is a Swiss citizen with 33 years’ experience in international banking. His career includes 23 years working with affluent international private clients in wealth management at a prestigious small Swiss private bank.

Peter holds an MBA from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and an Executive MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Both in International Wealth Management.

Born in Rome (Italy) in 1968, with Italian and French citizenship, has been general director and board member of the Fondazione Nando and Elsa Peretti (Rome) since 2000.

Today Stefano Palumbo, together with Peter Schwendinger and Dr. Kurt Moosmann, is one of the three board members of the Elsa Peretti Holding AG based in Zug (Switzerland), owned by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation (Vaduz, Liechtenstein), of which Stefano is still one of the  board members.

In Catalunia, Stefano is a legal representative of the Fundació Nando i Elsa Peretti, Delegació de Catalunya as well as a member of the boards of the Asociacion Civil Theatre Akademia and the Lo Spazio Artistic Association, all based in Barcelona.

In Italy, since 2021, Stefano Palumbo has been a member of the Board of Assifero, the Italian association of foundations and philanthropic organisations based in Rome, Italy. Stefano Palumbo is Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to the Republic of Albania since 2014.

The Swiss Canadian has a long-standing experience in advising private clients. After working for large financial institutions in senior executive roles, he joined the family office industry in 2004, representing a large Argentinian beer brewery dynasty. In 2007, Kurt built his own international advisory firm, before joining the Peretti world in 2009, initially as outside legal and tax adviser, and in 2014 as member of Elsa’s leadership team.

Kurt’s expertise is rooted in a strong academic background with a Master in Business Administration and a PhD in international trust law. He is also a passionate entrepreneur and sits on the board of family-owned enterprises. Since 2019, Kurt has been President of Switzerland’s official Single Family Office Association (SFOA) and serves as Co-Chairman Emeritus of the esteemed Family Office Roundtable (FORT), a global Think-Tank for leading entrepreneurs in association with Wharton University. He is also a member of STEP.

Kurt has been a board member of the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation since 2010. Over time, the Foundation has become Elsa’s flagship, allowing her team to continue her life’s work and preserve her legacy for many years to come. “I am grateful to be able to contribute to the fulfillment of Elsa’s wish by devoting her stellar achievements for a better good in the world.”

Born in Switzerland and based in Liechtenstein, Peter is a Liechtenstein citizen with 30 years of experience in legal and fiduciary advisory. His career includes working at director’s level in different Liechtenstein and Swiss corporations. Peter is holding a PhD from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Liechtenstein Association of Professional Trustees and the President of the Liechtenstein Ethic Commission.

Peter served the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation as a member of the board of foundation for the last 14 years. Peter says about Elsa and the Foundation: “It is a very special privilege and honor in equal measure to have been a member of the Board of Trustees for over ten years. The foundation is a witness of Elsa’s extraordinary warmth and humanity.“
