With Love Halston is a non-profit organisation founded in 2021 by Lesley Frowick, Halston’s niece, with the aim of supporting emerging fashion designers and students through scholarships, mentorship, and educational initiatives focused on the history of American fashion and the legacy of Halston, one of the country’s most influential designers.

The organisation is led by Lesley Frowick together with a small team whose expertise spans fashion history, design, and cultural production, including Audrey Schilt, Scott Vogel, and Brook Frowick Drummond. Through international partnerships, educational activities, and fundraising initiatives, With Love Halston works to introduce Halston’s creative legacy to new generations while supporting emerging voices in fashion and design.

Halston played a defining role in the development of modern American fashion, combining minimalist design, innovative materials such as the Ultrasuede, and an understanding of elegance rooted in simplicity, movement, and the relationship between garment and body. Preserving this legacy requires more than archival conservation alone. With Love Halston therefore creates opportunities for students to engage directly with his design principles through practice, mentorship, and critical reflection, encouraging them to reinterpret his aesthetic through contemporary perspectives on craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless design.

Since 2023, the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation (NaEPF) has supported With Love Halston in recognition of the long-standing friendship and creative relationship between Elsa Peretti and Halston, and in line with the NaEPF’s commitment to education, creativity, and the transmission of artistic heritage. With NaEPF’s support, the organisation has developed a growing series of international scholarship challenges in collaboration with leading fashion and design institutions, progressively refining its educational model and extending its reach across different countries and cultural contexts.

At the centre of the programme is the With Love Halston Scholarship Challenge, which invites participants to explore Halston’s design language and translate it into their own contemporary work. Participants develop capsule collection concepts inspired by his aesthetic and are guided through the design process, combining creative experimentation with practical exposure to the methods and expectations of the fashion industry. From each cohort, eight students are selected to develop garments inspired by Halston, with three ultimately receiving scholarships for projects recognised for their creativity, design quality, and market potential. Selected work may also be featured in FIDA Worldwide, an international anthology of contemporary fashion illustration.

The programme has progressively expanded its international network. In 2023, With Love Halston collaborated with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University, and Istituto Marangoni in Paris. During 2024- 2025, partnerships extended to Istituto Marangoni Mumbai, IED Barcelona, Edinburgh College of Art, Villioti Fashion Institute in Johannesburg, and FIT in New York. For 2026-2027, the programme includes collaborations with the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Drexel University in Philadelphia, Lipscomb University in Nashville, IED Milan, and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes in Montana.

This renewed support marks the continuation of a multi-year partnership between the NaEPF and With Love Halston, building on the programme’s international development while preserving the shared creative legacy of Elsa Peretti and Halston. By connecting this heritage with education, mentorship, and opportunities for emerging designers, the collaboration seeks to ensure that their influence continues not as a static historical reference, but as a source of inspiration, experimentation, and creative development for future generations.
